Fall Bucket List

The time for falling leaves and pumpkin everything is in full swing — and before we know it, we will be ringing in the New Year! There is still plenty of fall to enjoy, though, from sipping hot apple cider to enjoying your favorite football team, there’s an endless supply of ways to celebrate fall. Here’s our bucket list of autumn activities to be sure to make happen this year:

Attend a Football Game

Nothing announces the beginning of fall like football season kicking off! No matter who you’re rooting for, college or pro, game day is always an entertaining experience. Want to really capitalize on the fall fun? Whip up this recipe for Pumpkin Chipotle Vegetarian Chili to enjoy while tailgating before the big game starts.

Go Hiking

Relish in the brisk fall air, as you take in the wonders of nature! Whether it’s a forest preserve, state park or nearby trails, get the endorphins pumping while taking in the sights. The city of North Port offers an extensive selection of bike paths and trails, promising an “off the beaten path” experience. To really ramp up the seasonal enjoyment, swing by Starbucks for the ever revered Pumpkin Spice Latte or bring your own mulled cider to imbibe in while soaking in the warm colors of fall.

Host a Bonfire

A backyard bonfire with best friends, spiced cider and gooey s’mores is one way to live up the season! Begin your bonfire as the sun goes down to truly enjoy the amber sky amongst lively conversation with your guests.

Attend a Fall Festival

Win points with the family by attending an autumn themed festival. Lucky for you, there are plenty of local opportunities to join in on the fun, with many events running throughout the month of October for free.

Send Thankful Tidings

Everyone gets busy this time of year, so it will be even more meaningful that you took the time to hand write letters to family and friends. With Thanksgiving not far behind, express your gratitude by list the reasons you are thankful they are in your life. We all enjoy receiving snail mail, and reading words of love and appreciation is just whipped cream on the pumpkin pie!

However you choose to celebrate fall, be sure to do it with loved ones because time spent with family and friends is the reason for the season!
